Day 6 – Yankton to Sioux City

The final segment of our South Dakota journey was much better than the previous two days. The wind switched again and it was with us, but a little weaker. The above picture describes much of what we saw all of today – flat fields of corn as far as the eye can see. We had one hill all today, and it didn’t compare to most of what we saw at the beginning of the trip. Overall, a very easy ride for Evan’s birthday. We had an informal race with a tractor that lasted several miles. We won. We don’t think the tractor driver knew we were racing, though.
We’re well positioned in an RV park less than half a mile from the Iowan version of Sioux City, so we’re ready to roll next year in the RAGBRAI!
Expect more pictures to be uploaded soon after we move pictures and videos from cameras to computer.
