Day 3 – Pierre to Fort Thompson

Today was a ride hard to beat! In addition to riding along the Missouri River, we had a powerful tailwind all day! It was consistently above 20 mph and at times literally pushed us up hills. Riding became hard when we were perpendicular to the wind, and at times we had to pedal downhill when we had to face the wind. Most of the day, however, we had the wind at our backs and we had a blast! We rode through the Crow Creek reservation on our way to our beautiful (and free!) campground in Fort Thompson.

Long road behind us. Greener than yesterday!
