Day 2 – Ashland to Broadus

Today’s ride was a bit longer than yesterday – about 50 miles or so. Lots of rolling hills, and we crossed another divide. We passed a huge group of motorcylers, and we were given a lot of space from other drivers all day. Gotta say, we love it when people go to the other side of the road for us.

The hotel tonight is much better than the one last night. The Broadus Motel has a friendly staff, comfy beds, and probably won’t have a smoking neighbor that coughs so loud all night that we lose sleep. Seriously, I thought the guy was either having a heart attack or choking on a knife. Dad didn’t know; he was too busy snoring.

Speaking of Dad, happy Father’s Day! He said that today was the best way he could have spent it. 😀
